Here is our Trip Advisor Comment to your home in German with my translation:
Wir haben drei Nachte im Roman Retreat ubernachtet. Das Guesthouse liegt ca. 13 km (gut 20 Minuten mit dem Auto) von der Kapstadter Waterfront entfernt, an einem der Traumstrande Kapstadts mit Blick uber die Bucht auf den Tafelberg am Sunset Beach. Ein schones Zimmer mit Bad und eigener Terrasse am Pool erwartet den Gast. Die Gastgeber Lucy und Kevin servieren nicht nur ein ausgesprochen leckeres Fruhstuck, sondern haben so zahlreiche Tips auf Lager, was man wo besuchen sollte, so dass wir den nachsten Urlaub hier bereits fest eingeplant haben.
Noch ein Wort zu den Tieren hier im Guesthouse: Es handelt sich um zwei Hunde und eine Katze, um die man gern streicheln darf, die aber keinesfalls storen. Beim Fruhstuck etwa, laufen sie nicht uber Tisch und Banke sondern bleiben brav fern.
Fazit: Wir kommen wieder!
We stayed three nights at Roman Retreat. You find the guesthouse around 13 km (about 20 Min by car) from the Capetown Waterfront, at one of the dreamcoasts of Capetown - Sunset Beach. You ll find there a nice room with your own bathroom and terrasse at the pool. The owner Lucy and Kevin not only serve you an very tasty breakfeast, they have so many tips for you where to go and what to do that we planned our next stay here while being here.
One word to the animals at the guesthouse: There are two dogs and a cat, you might hugh but which never disturbed us. At breakfast they don t run over you or the tables they sty beside.
Our conclusion: we ll come back.

The hostess was wonderful. I had a concussion at the time and she took such good care of me and helped me with all I needed. The room was perfect with a large bath tub and private entrance to the pool. Only a few minutes walk to the beach with the most amazing view of table mountain.
Delicious breakfast, the hostess made me the best French toast I ever had. Everything was just great.

Staying at the Roman Retreat for a detox was the best New Year's resolution that we could have made. We rested, we detoxed and we recharged.
What a wonderful way to reflect upon what we wished to achieve for the year to come. Clean, comfortable rooms and warm and friendly proprietors.
